Helen's Summer Room

HELEN'S SUMMER ROOM
This room is named for the last Pott's child to grow up here. It is everything that one could wish for to get away from it all.  Remote control fireplace with a love seat before it.  Private porch overlooking the gazebo and the river.  Bent willow queen bed and chaise lounge.  Private bath.  This room was featured in Wisconsin Trails and Milwaukee Magazine.

The Attic Room

THE ATTIC ROOM
The small 1850's door found in the abandoned barn creates the illusion of an attic as one enters the newest of the second floor rooms. The reading rocker, and window seat overlooking  the wildflower garden, with its mass of native prairie phlox, gives this black and mauve romantic room and it's antique queen sized brass bed a hide-a way feeling.  Private bath.

Alice's Blue Room

ALICE'S BLUE ROOM
The half canopy above the queen sized bed seems to inspire those who see it to think of a bridal veil.  The room is named for Alice Potts who came to the village as young bride to Truman's Potts. The love seat, with its view of the river across the rustic road, at the river as it comes through the historic stone arch bridge and meanders along side the Inn.  A wonderful place to just sit and dream, or read a favorite book. The large bathroom down the hall has a claw foot tub, and is shared with your neighbors in Andrew's room. Both rooms have an individual pedestal sink.

The Attic Room

THE CANOPY ROOM
The private entrance off the front screened porch, where one can hear the river as it comes through the stone arched bridge, leads to the king-sized canopy bedroom. The very large double whirlpool in its separate hideaway room and its double shower makes this one of the most romantic rooms in the house.  Leaving the door open on those warm summer evening allows the Crystal River to lull you to sleep, for some of the most peaceful rest you'll ever experience.  Fireplace may be viewed from both canopy bed and from whirlpool.

Andrew's Room

ANDREW'S ROOM
Andrew's room, named after the first white child born in the village, has a white wicker desk, navy blue wall paper with whimsical Victorian fretwork dominating the wall behind the bed.
Seeing Andrew's picture on the dresser, one can't help but wonder what he thinks of his old room! This delightful room shares the bath down the hall with Alice's Blue Room, each has its own sink.

The Wood Room

THE WOOD ROOM
The remote controlled fireplace is viewed both from the raised heart-shaped double whirlpool, and queen sized bed. A window seat also overlooks the wildflower garden, making this private retreat with its private entrance a room like no other.  Getting taken to the wood shed takes on a whole new meaning!

Sonja's Room

SONJA'S  ROOM
Brass insets on the queen white iron bed set the romantic tone for this room named for the only daughter of the Sorensons to have lived in this home. The corner fireplace viewed either from the bed, the comfortable reading rocker or the spinet desk while you write a note to a loved one, congers up thoughts of elegant tranquility. A private bath completes this room.

French Country Room

FRENCH COUNTRY COTTAGE
This charming cottage is decorated with images of France. Large windows overlook the woods.  The Murphy Bed has the same custom made queen mattress as in the bed and breakfast. Wood burning fireplace with loveseat make this a sitting room during the day and a sleeping room by night. It has a TV with DVD/VCR.  There is a kitchenette with small refrigerator and microwave, dishes and marble table.  A continental breakfast is furnished in the cottage or you may have a full hot breakfast in the Inn.

LITTLEHOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE

The Little House contains a living room with fireplace, a kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, small refrigerator, sink, toaster, coffee maker, a  seating area for four and all essential dishes, glassware, pots and pans. The inviting living room with seating area before the gas burning fireplace has a TV/VCR and sliding glass door opening onto a deck.  The stairs lead to a loft with twin sized beds and is ideal for two children, or adults willing to share a bath with those in the bedrooms. This warm and cozy private retreat nestled up against the woods features two private bedrooms, the Woodland Room and Garden Room, each with attached bath.  Each bedroom may be entered directly from it’s own porch without going through the rest of the cottage. Each may be closed off from the other room to provide a "suite" with one bedroom, loft, living room and kitchen.   A gas grill is provided for the use of all cottage guests.

THE WOODLAND ROOM
Features a fireplace and queen size canopy bed and private bath. The table for two or the chaise lounge overlooking the woods make it the perfect place for that morning coffee in your room or the French doors open directly unto a porch with dining area next to the woods.

THE GARDEN ROOM
This room decorated with a delicate garden theme has queen size bed, private bath, your own private porch with view the prairie where sand hill crane, wild turkeys or a deer or two may stroll through.
